After a hectic month, of planning, things are beginning to move forward as a faster pace.

The general looked over the maps that his little helpers had provided. It seemed the main landmass he was on had two small land bridges connecting them to other continents. Naturally, these two bridges were heavily defended and difficult to sneak scouts into. It seemed that the only way to continue overground exploration would be by ship - unless he asked the mages to divert their research into flying transport, he couldn't see any other way. Even then, the shorelines may be too heavily defended. 
 With luck, there might be an uninhabited island he could colonise.

A horde of small angry gnomes assaulted the vaults of the Disasters Inc. HQ. They protested because they had not being paid a single silver for the whole month. In desperation to remedy the problem the vault was emptied and the gnomes were paid.

Word spread and many sales agents who were far out in the field deserted once their paychecks stopped coming. The first errors creep in. The corporation is big and time goes too fast to manage it all.

Uthark woke with a smile and smelled the lingering sweet perfume coming from under the sheets next to him. He gave that perfume to Adrica as a gift from the loot pile the previous day along with some excellent wine. She seemed to like both gifts. Her deep sleep and the flowery scent attested to that.
Uthark felt the gashes on his back and the bitemark on his neck as he dressed. The drow girl was wild in the sack. 'Why is it always the crazies who end up in my bed?' he thought as he looked at her. 'Best ranger of the underworld my ass. She's out cold from only a few bottles of wine. What if we looted something stronger?' He decided to let her sleep it off. Better stay another day at their current location than deal with a she-drow cranky from a hangover.
As he left his tent Gnarl approached him immediately.
"Sire, please accept my congratulation upon acquiring your first mistress." the old goblin said with a bow.
"Mistress? I wouldn't call her that. It's too early to say anyway. And I'm not planning to have a harem. One crazy lady is enough." Uthark said with a frown touching the bite-mark on his neck.
"Pity. Our previous leader was a gnoll. He had a mistress for every day of the week. He..."
"I don't want to know." Uthark interrupted him. "How are the preparations for the tower at our destination?" he asked to change the subject.
"We have a problem." The goblin admitted reluctantly.
"Yes?" asked Uthark.
"We were unable to procure or even locate any rootstone."
"I was expecting this. I guess we'll have to transmute regular stone. Are we still on schedule?"
"We'll arrive a month late. Hunting the trolls was a considerable delay and we don't have many men in the city yet. Funds are also runnig low. The first caravan is still months away."
"The vodka caravan? I completely forgot about that. Do me a favour and don't let Adrica know about any inbound alcohol shipments. Not before I master magical healing." Uthark said scratching his injured back.

   Imagine hunger so intense that it feels like Ice wurm eating you from inside. Imagine you don’t mind digging out a fresh corpse or even making one from a worthless local. Imagine having a new trustworthy servant skeleton and whole lot of excellent meat… But there is a problem. What to do with whole corpse? How to cut it up, how to butcher, how to skin… Those are all the right questions beginner cannibal should ask. Don’t worry, we got you covered. Here’s what an experienced cannibal necromancer had to say when asked:
   “You are going to LOVE processing the corpse yourself! The learning curve is not bad. "Follow the bone" is about all you need to remember. If you can get the corpse to your castle pretty quickly, it's easier and a lot cleaner to gut it hanging. If not - field dressing is a must if it is warm weather, but hurry before his relatives find you in the woods where you successfully strangled... oh that would be a story for another time.... Let's continue about meat.
    Some people hang a dressed (gutted) corpse for several days to a week in a cool cave before processing. Some age the meat in a cave for a few days. I haven't really found any appreciable difference in the taste so I prefer to get to it. The FASTER you get the meat chilled no matter what, the better! Skinning them fresh is easier than skinning them after several days, but try to do it away from critters and flies, and relatives.
   Separate the good roasts and other cuts, bone out the shoulders. Grind everything else! Give  the guts and skin to goblins  - they sometimes stuff the skin with HERBs, making funny dolls.
  Later when you are ready to create undead instead of skeletons, you can make the meat walk with you, cutting off those tastier pieces as you go and roasting them with FIRE 1. Careful - FIRE 2 and higher will burn your food to ashes.”
  As always - BONE APP THE TEETH as them French connection people usually say.

No carousal with broken windows as result, no dogs pissing along the walls, no insurgency led by hateful people.

But as far as they remember, no trouble in their city for decades.

The Judges make sure that everything goes right.

But this morning, something is happening that has not happened in years.
A particular agitation shakes the High Tower of Judges.
"I must speak to the council, now !" says an old man. The guards barred access to the big mahogany door. A loud voice, coming from behing the doors then resumed "Let him come in".
They open the doors, and the old man enters in a large bright room. A wide table in the middle, with 7 people facing the doors.
- Well High Judge Hierophant, you asked to talked to the council ? says the man with a filling armor made of gold and adamantium.
- Yes Supreme Judge. We have found another one.

A long silence settles. Without a word, the judges exchanged several agreed views.
- Are you sure ?
- Yes, Supreme Judge, all the signs are there, and ...
- Thank you High Judge Hierophant, you can let us now
- But ...
- Thank you
Disappointed, the old man goes out.
- Now we have to decide who to send there.

The day after, same place, same room...

Ninrolf sat in the meagre shelter of his current lodgings and worried about the future. Although he had hoped to find a new pristine world to begin a new life it seemed that this world was definetly crowded. Two locals he had payed to get a good look at the surrounding countryside were told to turn around and to stay out of "their" lands. Maybe this was a hostile force preparing to lay siege to the city itself.
Well nothing he can do about it right now. At least his surviving family should arrive soon. Things will certainly look brighter with them around.
