Distant lands are wonderful, but sometimes it’s worth returning home.

"What is it now?"
"We got approached by a former head of a former eh, 'friendly' competitor, asking whether we have space? Apparently his shareholders decided to close the shop. Something with some 'virus' or whatever?"
"Virus, right... Nothing to do with the fact we were always step ahead of them. In the friendliest possible way.. So he now wants to go to the best, doesn't he?"
"We would have to reduce our direct commercial operations though."
"They were more of a headache anyways, and I believe we have a highly competent outsourcer to deal with it. So sign him in! "
"And while you're at it, can you start looking for replacements of the failed 'experiment' you suggested? Send out the feelers, you know.."
The bank (12)
Wood elves trying to hide, one man sat in a hex twiddling his thumbs for months and then claiming the land as his. Interesting times ahead

From the diary of Dark Schneider:

3rd of November Year 2

The fleet has finally arrived. Three slender ships with massive sails. Even the girls like them. I think I'll be able to persuade them to leave the tower behind. They are talking about racing each other with with the ships. They all practiced wind lore after all. I'll have to order our sailors to load spare canvases and extra masts and have a repair crew at the ready just in case.

8th of November Year 2

Our hunters have spotted a pride of lions to the northeast. I'd really want to go out and hunt them but we need to take advantage of our magetower and get some work done. We're busy encanting swords. Our weaponsmiths can barely keep up with our demand.

15th of November Year 2

Our builders made extra effort to make the tower immune to fire and now the girls are wallpapering every room with flowery patters. They say it's a good practice of their pattern skills but all I can see is roses and chamomiles everywhere. I tried to talk to them about defensive wards and runes but they want flowers. Lucky we're leaving soon or I would have to arrange a fire accident.

22nd of November Year 2

Gyperboreya forces evaded out troops and they continue to ride south. I wonder where they might be going.

25th of November Year 2

After completing 3 magetowers the building crew switched to building inns in Fulford. I wonder how our old innkeeper is doing back in Kishbank. Maybe I should ask him to move over to Fulford?

28th of November Year 2

Filcist mages want to make a bet with us about our ships. The concept is still foreign to me. Why would anyone bet that our ships will survive for three years? They want 1000 silver up front from us. If any of them gets lost at sea in the next three years they are willing to pay five times as much. They clearly haven't witnessed what the girls are capable of when they are angry.
What's this? "Any damage resulting from the use of magic by the owners or any third party will make this polly-sea null and void." But we intend to use magic on the ships. Hell, I'm planning to hunt magical creatures with it. This bet is rigged. I won't sign this crap.

Producers are still lazy, not producing enough.
Good, that miners finally have found some mithril and still continue search for admantium; Reporters have been lazy too, and last month there was no newspapers in the country - this is NOT acceptable. Few of them were downgraded to combat fighters and fed to City Guards. I hope this could help, and mass media will work better next months.
Gray Ones (16)
This is such a disappointment when the battle you were planning few months ends without any loss.
The Chosen Few (17)
"It is too peaceful," said the master at arms.

"Aye it is. Check in with the scouts to ensure that there are no troops amassing nearby. And get me more stone for defense!," said the King of the Penguins.

"The elves will mine stone. That they wood," said the master at arms with a twinkle in her eye.
King of the Penguins (18)
Interesting find we have. Apparently there are some unconquered villages and towns in other regions. This makes it apparent that someone should conquer them. And why not us?
Chaos Empire (19)
Just a friendly remainder, setting up guard with one unit after somebody else has killed city guards is always considered an offensive action and asks for trouble.
In other news ocean voyage is going great and more and more factions are inviting us for a visit, Skalperians can't say no to that.
p.s. Rumors about our impeding death were quite premature...
Skalperians (24)
Spies, everywhere are spies! Unidentifed units to be removed immediatelly!
Scoiatael (25)
The travelling salesman made his final offer
"75 Silver for these herbs"

Sir Carter paid the man, thinking to himself "Overpriced, but i want a good cup of tea"

Later his aide came with a cup of this freshly brewed tea. He took a sip, only to spit out the tea.

"That is far worse than the local one" he thought.

He took a look at the herbs. The stemps looked very sturdy. "Maybe we can make ropes out of them"

(Stories from ancient Darealone family book - Tales from Torsee Darealone - XVIII)
Excerpt of Foedel Noble Wedding - Adira's vows
Love comforteth like sunshine after rain.
Doubt thou the stars are fire;
Doubt that the sun doth move;
Doubt truth to be a liar;
but never doubt I love you.
I love thee, I love but thee with a love that shall not die.
Till the sun grows cold and the stars grow old.
Cause what is dead may never die

This is Paradise (29)
The Hunt is ready, Galleon loaded. Evil Mages to hunt.
The Filras (3)
Once someone came to the market,
To the very first shop I went:
"Hey, salesman,
Come on think fast,
What clothes to choose
Me in your shop.
I'm evil by nature,
My aspiration is power,
I have hot blood,
I have a fierce passion.

I want to see my appearance,
Everyone avoided me,
To immediately understand,
Who I am at heart."

The merchant understood -
It's not easy.
To suggest such a thing?
"I wouldn't want you,
Man, to offend,
But someone like you,
It would be better not to see it at all.
I think I know,
What will suit you,
Your hot temper
Everyone will understand immediately."

And he opened an old chest,
He took out his hat and said:
"In due time
The Great Charles himself wore it."

"That's it!" -
The villain smiled.
I admired the new hat very much,
He walked home, imagining and proud,
In front of the bedroom mirror
He's been around all night.
But when he took off his hat,
He was in trouble -
Together with the cap was removed
And his head.

I want to see my appearance,
Everyone avoided me...
Gyperboreya (30)
Works continues and our burden is greater now. We have twisted, evil Hobbits trying to spread Evil between our ranks. Evil also has arrived flying, like a dark, disgusting dragon. We will fight them all, we will fight for the light.
Sword & Shield Forever (32)
This world is realy unusual. All these orcs, gnolls, goblins, dwarves, and elves. In my homeland, these are just tales. And here I come across them every day. This is unbelievable.
Silver Wolf Clan (37)
Withdraw stone just to see it shared to guys building an inn who had enough wood anyways.
Need to be more careful with that sharing flag.
ClanJaguar (38)
You know who you are (we do).

Let it be known that we consider an any attack on our ally Nils Olav (14) to be considered an attack against us.

You have been warned.

Any factions wishing to enter our territories need only ask. We will permit scouts and trade convoys. Any units not revealing faction will be eliminated on sight where possible, or otherwise scheduled for termination at a later date.

We loosely claim the regions, above and below, contained within 31,1 -> 40,2 -> 40,18 -> 31,13, give or take, for the benefit of our friends and allies. We back these claims up with force, not with 1-man units that have grown old, waiting...

The Hunt Begins (4)
Busy month. Taxing, farming, mining and creating tools for that. Maybe we need to ditch thous mages and go entirely to trade?
Miserable Maniacs (40)
Is something big about to happen? It feels like we should be extra vigilant.

Also, who's been messing with our compasses? Two of our ships have grounded due to the suspected sabotage of our directional gear.
Northern Viking (42)
"More Mages or more tax regions? That's here the quetsion? Which direction shall my folks go? Mages cos a lot of money, but they make ships fast and helps exploring the world. Let's call the advisors" Björn was thinking.
Greyfish (43)
Sadly, the Children of the Four Winds were running low on nearby quests. It was time to head forth, find new lands to place people in and quest for glory!

This travel would require many things - ships, mounts, reliable sailors. It was time to gather all of these, and find a route to the exotic lands listed in the Times.
Children of the Four Winds (44)
hmm, a new continent, sparsely populated, but rich with forests, mountains and plains. How can that be? Are people hiding in the shadows, we we have not been able to find them yet? Will they oppose our army, when it comes marching?
Filcist (46)
We will deny it no more. The callous expulsion of our settlers everywhere they go has been disregarded too long! Mistreated. Bullied. Evicted and restricted. We won't stand for it!

We feel we are entering a new state.
Little House in Denial (49)

The Istari are ready.
Istari (55)
Looks like blood will be spilled. Good that we are not part of the conflict, we don't need to fight right now, there is not much to gain and so much to lose.
Semigallians (6)
Thus, the roads were mapped and construction cycle was firing up once again.
What's this about some kind of tomato clock I'm hearing? Maybe it will help get my affairs in order...
Chaotic Neutral (62)
Great battle will be next turn. We are ready!
Royal Pinguins (69)
"My Lord, we met an aggressive state. They killed our diplomats without warning. After that they sent an apology message."
"They are mocking! Well, we will remember that."
Moon Knights (7)
What is dead may never die!

Undead fleet landed in island where Dark League minions dared to attack dead servants.
Hundreds of skeletons, zombies and dark mages rushed forward. Bloodbath started.

Dead League was an easy target. Skeletons were commanded to to take a town nearby as well.

Shadow Lands grow.
Eternal Empire (8)
The clanging of anvils and picks ring out the rhythm of life in town.
The Phrygians (83)
The beginning of a new small era on a peninsula has come,
Strange nomadic wanderers and their hellish incomplete attack upon an island village,
The false illumination in the NE braying,
The second beginning comes soon.
Luxadom (86)
The goblin fleet sailed out with the morning tide to commence fishing operations in waters that had proven to be free of pirates and sea monsters, given that the fleet had passed through them several times now. A raven arrived with a message, which Akhorahil read. It was from one of his scouting parties, and it contained a brief report of a battle fought far to the north. Interesting, but too far away to be of concern. He folded the message and slid it into a pocket as he turned to speak to his mages and the new tactician that had joined his council. “These goblins are resourceful but are unproven in combat. No doubt their fighting will be suboptimal. So, we are going to need more of them. Many more. I want another warband formed at once.” He looked to the new tactician. “Make it so.”
Riders of the Storm (89)
Turbulences in north. Obsidians are silent. Air from turndra brings smell of war...
Fishmongers (9)

Time for the second transition of states. Look out.
