With disarming smiles, they welcomed us into their grand abode, the warmth of their hospitality momentarily dispelling our fears. The mansion's interior was a testament to their refined taste, adorned with antique furnishings and adorned with artwork that seemed to capture the essence of time itself. As we conversed with our vampire hosts, their intelligence and gentle demeanor further eroded our preconceptions, revealing a depth of character that transcended their monstrous reputation.

Despite the lingering unease in our hearts, we found ourselves drawn to their enigmatic charm, their stories of ages past weaving a spell that held us captive. As the moon ascended, casting long shadows across the mansion's opulent halls, we reluctantly bid farewell to our vampire hosts, a sense of bittersweet longing lingering in our hearts. The ihgh council long pondered on possible travel paths. Whether to go to forest to north east or swamps in nort west. But the decision was taken - it shall be swamps. It seemed strange, even unfair to advance into lands with people they haven't even really met, but High Lords had a little choice. After all, it was small chance that current factions would freely bow and allow Sky Lords to settle those lands or travel through them, so Lords of the Sky ordered their knights to take flight and advance those lands from the sky and clear the path for travels.

The armored infantry will have to wait for a new batch of trained archers and a new General. The mask of the advanced army is to find the enemy forces and inflict maximum damage to its frontline. The enemy will be defeated, Victory will be for them! In the morning, after the obligatory Ritual, the whole army marched quickly to the town...

I look at the outskirts of Baicstowe from the mast of our galleon and wonder how this battle will go. Factions 100 and 101 have gathered hundreds of mounted swordsmen to take and defend the city. We have arrived too late to save the smiths and small garrison our ally had in the city but perhaps not too late to exact revenge. Yet we don't have any cavalry. If the enemy chooses to flee we won't be able to keep up on land. It's something I never considered before. I will have to discuss this with Shakaa. If we survive the battle. The advantage of cavalry that it can isolate and defeat elements of an army and be gone by the time the footmen on the other side of the battlefield could react. We'll see how it goes soon enough.

Undergrounder celebrates monsters.  When monsters come, Undergrounder goes to ring the bell, as usual, and then all the village dyers and hide scrapers come out and chase them away.  Undergrounder had always wondered what would happen if a dragon showed up instead of a few kobolds; would all the villagers just get eaten?  Should we run away from the bell, not run toward it?  Early one morning last month there was no dragon, just some strange 10 limbed creatures, with hard lightweight exoskeletons.  The decapods did have "monsters" in their name.  Almost all of the decapods' blows (except a few from those few with bows or with dull teeth) slew three score and two Celebrant craftsmen.  Not a single one of the craftsmen's blows touched the decapods' armor, much less pierced it.  10 limbs is a lot.  And the decapods are just too smart at war.  Ghost of Undergrounder believes the Celebrants who survived him need a different response to the village bell.  But what should it be?  Decapods cannot be hit, and it is essentially impossible to survive their blows.  Perhaps archery?  Strangely, the ten limbed beasts did not carry shields.  If Ghost of Undergrounder had 10 limbs, he would carry two shields.  Ghost of Undergrounder shall fill the dreams of his children with arrows and quarrels.

Gives Marsh Grain celebrates cookies.  Well, not cookies yet, cookies remain far beyond her skill.  But maybe porridge?  Gives Marsh Grain has arrived in a land where grain grows, and here she resumes her study of burning food, in search of the secret of cookies.  Gives Marsh Grain wonders whether she would be allowed to bake Kong shaped cookies, or whether a disastrous lawman would enjoin production of this protected shape.  But Gives Marsh Grain gets ahead of herself; all she can bake so far are shapeless lumps of burnt porridge.  More study is apparently required.

Thitathi Ritho celebrates Merry Magicians' replacement of the Old Guard in I'allsale.  Thitathi has never been to I'allsale, she believes no Celebrant ever has.  But the rumors she heard in the forest were that the Old City Guard were MEAN, and that almost every faction in this world wanted to kill them.  Thitathi is sure that now that Merry Magicians have boldly done the necessary deed and slain the mean old guardsmen, other factions of this world shall converge on I'allsale to thank Merry Magicians for their work, to offer congratulations, and to present gifts to the Magicians.

Shamir the Woodsman celebrates Runner 16246.  Shamir has been saving his wood to have enough to buy a "Runner" CCTC (Collectible Combatant Trading Card).  Shamir is fascinated by Runners.  Greywolf has runners of at least 6 types, perhaps each with different abilities.  Circus of Fools has their own runners, who are different, able to carry heavier loads than the wolves, circus tents and other heavy stuff.  Shamir believes in his heart of hearts that Monster Hunters have their own runners, more capable than any of the previously known runners.  Shamir imagines he might have seen a Monster Hunter Runner once.  He can't be sure, they don't wear little "Monster Hunter" medallions the way some of the wolves and circus runners do, but Shamir thinks he saw once a runner with more potential than any of the common runners of the south.  Shamir wishes the caravan selling CCTCs would come by soon.  Can the caravanserai distribute trading cards, Shamir wonders?  Should Shamir transport his wood to the trailhead for the caravanserai to pick up, or should he save it for the old fashioned caravan?  Which is more likely to have the trading card he wants?

Ninmahal celebrates Monster Hunters' missing scout.  Ninmahal tried to give Monster Hunters a scout, but it was too late, Monster Hunters weren't expecting this, and weren't friendly enough to be prepared to accept one.  Monster Hunters DID help Ninmahal transcend from this world to the next, and the next world is quite a bit nicer than his old world, so maybe Ghost of Ninmahal shall decide that Monster Hunters were at least a little friendly after all.  Ghost of Ninmahal was surprised just how easily Monster hunters wiped out the Celebrants' best and brightest, titled Patriarchs and Grandmistresses together with their assistants and apprentices.  Ghost of Ninmahal, his quick, clean, sharp, well lubricated new mind clearer and more able than the slow, rusty, worn out mind he left behind, now realizes that Celebrants could never have prevailed as chaotically as they were managing their affairs in the dawn times.  Ninmahal quickly calculates that Celebrants must change how they organize their society to survive in this world.  Celebrants may not continue with just the few worldwide leaders they have today who manage each race and guild.  Celebrants need local leaders, who will forsee local problems, organize local defenses, and perhaps even ensure that local foreigners, diplomats and scouts, are treated with respect.  Ghost of Ninmahal knows that  what the Celebrants need most today are more ranks and titles.  Next month, Ninmahal's children, friends, and former neighbors shall dream of Nawabzaadis.  The secret of survival is law, order, ranks, titles, and hierarchy.  The Celebrants who bury Ninmahal shall dream of hierarchy.

Cwistata celebwates the defeat of the the nowthewn Celebwants by Monstew Huntews.  Dead Patwiawchs and Gwand Mistwesses awe exactly what Celebwants need to get a new cwop of ghosts.  A new cwop of ghosts awe just what we need to depose Ed.  And deposing Ed is just what Cwistata needs to wite an awticle that doesn't begin "Cwistata celebwates".  It is impowtant to have goals and wishes, Cwistata thinks.  And Cwistata wishes someday to wite an awticle that doesn't begin "Cwistata celebwates".

Ed celebrates oceanside cities.  Time to relax and enjoy the view.  And perhaps to send out some fisherman to determine whether the water is salt or fresh.  There is nothing quite so relaxing as a seaside villa in a city.  Ahhh.  Sigh.  This is so relaxing.  Life is good.
