Ternar looked at the young drows running around the whole Tower.

He had been said these these two children were gifted ones, but it was difficult to believe seeing them running and crying everywhere, playing with the stones fallen in one of the dragon attacks only two months ago.

"Well," he thought "we will worry about that tomorrow. Maybe we'll make good mages from these fools"

War in the south intensifies. Expeditions from the north. Tales spread of ships hunting kraken and maybe easy prey ashore as well. The world is becoming more interesting, and life a bit less safe. All this, and we continue our search for some means to defeat the Devourer.

We do not know what our chances of survival are, so we fight as if they were zero. We do not know what we are facing, so we fight as if it was the dark gods themselves. No one will remember us now and might never know we existed, but the Enemy - the Enemy will know. The Enemy will remember. We will hurt it so badly that it will never forget us until the stars burn out. When Devourer is dying, its last thought will be of us. We cannot lose. We have already won.

The Black Tower Council represents a middle size alliance which is not taking part into the big wars between big factions. This alliance exploits a middle size territory, trades and produces tools, weapons, armors and anything useful to equip an army to face the Great Devourer.
If your faction is willing to contribute to this reasonably ambitious but noble task, feel free to contact. The alliance could have use of producers, logisticians, farmers, craftsmen, soldiers, explorers, mages or even sailors.

"Is that envy I see on your face?" Ardrica asked Uthark and hugged him from behind. They were on the balcony of the tower watching Shakaa riding his black dragon.
"I was remembering times in the past." Uthark said with a sigh.
"Bad memories?" Adrica asked.
"There were good times and bad times but never idle times. The problem with dragons is that they always escalate conflicts. You can always sheathe a sword and unstring a bow but you can't put a leash on dragons. When you have them you use them." Uthark explained.
"What's the problem with that?" Adrica asked.
"Using our dragons? Nothing. The problem is with other factions using theirs."

Every now and then we try taxing more settlements, producing a lot of various stuff... and every time we stop taxing, we stop producing stuff and let it all go to hell because only MAGIC is really worth our time.

Old mage looked depressed.
-"Bad news?"
-"Yes, my apprentice. I was hoping, that world will unite after it was once destryed by Great Devourer. But this doesn't happened. I see batlles again in our world, cruel and useless, just in the name of silver and fame. Instead of preparation for next coming of Devourer we are still killing each other."
- "Do I need to ask our few troops to prepare for fighting?"
- "Yes, my apprentice, go and do this. Also ask our carpenters to forget carpentry and study some combat instead."
Minutes later, with clear anticipation of something bad coming apprentice Hanevorn went down the stairs.
"May be I could learn some battle tactics to secure, that I am not sent to the front rows
of upcoming war? Since we don't have any great warlord, this could be my chance" - and he
went down to his room to continue study scrolls. "Carpenters to become warriors? Has this ever happened?! Even their race is wrong, they are not born to fight, what chances they will have against thousands of orcs, coming from west?"

Fair reminder for people happening to be in Kadlee or Poodemont:
- hidden unit will be killed on sight,
- revealing units will get one month to turn back or get killed after this grace period.

Of course the current Sidhe units will be exterminated and their heads put on pikes, as usual. Oh wait! we don't have enought pikes...

Jim the explorer, a subject of Ninrolf, felt queasy and not a little guilty. He looked out over the a battle field where recently a battle had taken place. Well battle was perhaps the wrong word. A better word would be slaughter. And everything had started so innocently.
Ninrolf had ordered him to accompany their friends in exploring the world. He personally had to write back about all the new sights he saw. He had bordered one of the fast sailing ships their allies commanded and sailed for unexplored shores.
As they came to these lands many months later there was talk about an interesting structure a few miles inland. A great shaft that went a very log way down. They had decided to travel there and take a look.
Some people were living in these lands and the leader of the expedition - a striking man commanding a small but elite force of warriors to protect the expedition - was talking to them about right of way. The talks took quite a long time and Jim got bored. he had nothing to contribute, being only along for the ride. So he took out his knife to pair his fingernails.
And suddenly the world went crazy. The local people started drawing weapons and attacking the expedition. Naturally they fought back. After what seemed like hours but had taken only minutes scores of dead littered the area. Their men did not even have wounded but the other side really got stumped.
A small nagging voice in the back of his head kept wispering that there were some words of advice of not drawing weapons during the parlay. He feared he was responsible for the slaugther. Hopefully nothing even worse would come from this, and even more important Ninrolf wouldn´t be mad at him. But most important hopefully nobody would remember his little penknife.
