John the Ship Maker looked at his most special creation with pride. The boat hull was made of regular wood, other precious woods were demanded for their use in weapons production, but the ship sails were made of a very special material.

Although the wood used in the boat was regular oak wood its design was a real engineering work. Only the most skilled boat makers could do something similar, and John was one of the bests.

After a while a fearful crew unfolded the sails, and the ship rose slowly from the ground. "Grotus will be delighted with this ship", he thought, and they ship started to fly towards Acerne.

Our sailors adrift were happy to land, even in tundra. But finding a lone guard led to further starvation. As that guard has not responded to any attempts of communication we send out word of booty to be had in the hopes that this will motivate someone to come save our lost sailors. In (15,53) a mere three men are protecting a bounty of 22 MXBO, perhaps with a ship en route to retrieve them and their reward.

Being able to read the lie of the land is arguably the most important skill an officer can have. On the attack, a wise commander will use the terrain to mask his advance from the enemy’s sight. On defence, he will occupy positions that provide cover for his troops and a clear view of the routes along which the enemy is likely to attack. Using terrain well can give even an inferior force the chance of victory, while using it badly can lead to the defeat of all but the strongest attacker.

A report from the Mouyle tunnels is in. The operation is proceeding as planned. Our largest operation so far will soon come to fruitition. 500 men stand at the ready in the tunnels. A Balrog stands alone nearby.

The planning started 6 months ago recruiting men and moving equipment. 100 laborers worked on the roads and excavations into the tunnels for the last months. The sounds of building reverberated through the tunnels, even louder than the roars from the when the demons and imps were dispatched. Barely 4 dusin recruits were lost in the first encounter. We got lucky.

The front line recruits were given the most basic training. Motivation to trudge through the tunnels was not an issue as they had been swayed by the mithril armor and swords they were told they could keep if they held steady for 2 rounds. Only 2 more rounds...

There comes a time in every ruler's life where the Royal Scrolls of History are damaged beyond use. When these times occur, it is simplest to just burn it all down and start over.

Really, the benefits of a fresh start are worth a small bit of chaos.

"Did I do it wrong and stayed in the Nexus," - he thought, opening his eyes.
High overhead shining hot sun. The air seemed to draw moisture from all living things. Sand dust covered the stones and the road that led to some kind of structure in the distance.
