The lanky orc ambled towards the group picnicking on the edge of the dank mire, a small fire letting a pall of smoke drift out in the heavy air.

"Oi, Dave!"
The most horizontal of the picnickers smoothly sat up without spilling a drop of the wine in goblet clutched protectively to his chest, then rose smoothly to its rather diminutive height and snapped-off a crisp salute. "Yessir, Lieutenant sir! Herbal team ready and reporting for action, sir! We are cocked locked and ready to rock, lifetakers and widowmakers, lean mean green killing mach-"

"Settle down Dave," the officer interrupted. The smaller orc took on a decidely nettled air. "Priest-blokey's had a vision. Straight from the gods. And you're the team to fulfil it. Just what we need."

"YES! Fourteenth squad is ready, sir, we are poised to hurl ourselves into battle against the enemy. At last, we can escape this terrible makework and really strike a blow against our enemies. What is it sir? Assassination? Open battle? Dragonslaying?"

The officer stuck his thumbs in the belt loops at his hips, then sucked air in through his teeth. "Not exactly, Dave. What we need you and your lads to do is..."

The smaller orc actually started bouncing on the balls of his feet at this point.

"Is..."

"Sir, now you're just milking it."

The officer grinned. "Yep. What the vision from on high for you to do is... gather herbs."

"SIR!!!???!!!" The wail of anguish rattled clearly across the small inlet, disturbing the water.

The officer shrugged. "Just like you've been doing for the last six months. Only today... you're on a mission from God."

The admantium ring mail hangs on the clothes line. Scrying orbs make surprisingly good bowling balls. We find however, that the mithral sheilds are too shiny to make good picnic tables. What we need though is some magic 'oil of the suntan' to give us protection from burning.

Akhorahil looked out over the seas from high up in his magical tower. Rumors of war were in the air, but the seas were relatively calm in every direction. Many ships were arriving and departing the island, some bringing fresh supplies, while others were bringing veteran troops from the colonies, troops that were much larger, much stronger than the local goblins.
