The trader economists pondering about squirrel arguments felt sorrow when reading about passing of their great economist. Nevertheless as a respect, they rapidly calculated their income per capita and as it had decreased to 17 income per capita further analysis were required. Turns out that the vast education program has some lower returns and way longer return of investments as such unproductive people as riders and builders are being trained.

Squirrel Chatter second December

Nope, my papers won't let me through this forest, either. It
seems to enter this forest I need a party invitation for
some celebration of the necromancer returning to the high
mountain fortress of Del Ngirr (sp?) that rises out of the
forest of Utso, or something like that. Spelling uncertain,
I can't hear the difference between these forest dwellers'
"ells" and "arrs". Well, I don't have an invitation to the
party, so I'll just sit here on the border for a month and
eat another one of my livestock. Wonder whether any of my
livestock will be left by the time I get to a town to sell
them? Which way out should I try next? Desert? Out of the
way forest? Tundra? I wonder what the celebration I'm
uninvited to is about? What necromancer? What far away
fortress? Some battle on the other side of the world that
will never affect the squirrels, I suppose. Above our pay
grade. Someone else will deal with it, and anyway, I forgot
my pocket handkerchief. Back to healing this tundra by
raising our ice eating livestock and driving them to market.

There may be missing data before month 9, because squirrels
were slow to start farming. I notice that we are still
saving only enough grain to feed ourselves for 8 days.
Winter is more than 8 days long; I sure hope we are saving
more fish, meals, livestock and silver than grain.

Squirrel income per capita was unchanged at 22 silver per
month again. Governing towns definitely does not make
squirrels richer. The world growth rate held steady, still
roughly 4000 per month. The victors of Del Ngirr complained
that I'm exploding the Times with my graphics; I wonder
whether I'm still allowed to put a population growth graph
here?

The New Land group faces a couple of problems. First and foremost, there are a few monsters around. Giants in their castles don't seem to be a problem yet, but could prove to be a massive danger. More significantly are five ice wurms to the north that have taken out a scout (our first fatality this game). The game data says they may not attack players, but as has been seen, they are still a threat. Some units will be set up to produce swords, and much of our silver will go towards building an army to confront these wurms. A completely different issue is the silver itself. To allow transfers of silver from Econquest units to units in other regions, we'll need a quartermaster. Fortunately, this is much easier to solve, and we'll have one running from a safe space in only a few turns.
The sailors have come to the realization that the land they arrived in is rather crowded after all, and are packing up to sail further south.
We're just having the Observers move to the southwest shore. Maybe they too will sail off.

Carnival of Shadows Faces Uncertain Future as Morale Plummets
With Old Jobobo Missing, the Carnival of Shadows Teeters on the Brink of Collapse
As days turn into weeks with no word on the fate of Old Jobobo, the once vibrant and mysterious Carnival of Shadows is now a shadow of its former self. Morale among the performers has hit an all-time low, and whispers of closing down have begun to circulate within the carnival grounds. Without Jobobo’s leadership, the carnival’s once unified and spirited troupe is left disorganized and uncertain, unsure of what the future holds.
The performers, who once dazzled Atlantis with their feats of illusion and wonder, are struggling to find direction. The Strongmen seem lost without their fearless ringmaster, and the Flying Legless Bros. have not taken to the skies since Jobobo’s disappearance. The carnival, known for its dark magic and intrigue, now seems almost lifeless, its energy fading as the days drag on.
"We don’t know what to do without him," said one performer, their face somber. "He was the heart of the carnival. Without Jobobo, it feels like we’re just… lost."
